Selden Fire Department Provides Mutual Aid to Westhampton for Brush Fire
Selden FD, March 08
Today, the Selden Fire Department was dispatched to assist the Westhampton Beach Fire Department in responding to a brush fire. At approximately 2:30pm, the department's 2.5-ton GI Brush truck, 5-25-9, along with multiple firefighters, responded to the call for mutual aid.

Selden FD was activated today at 12:47 for a structure fire in the vicinity of Elmwood Ave and S Evergreen Dr. Upon arrival units found a shed fully involved on Cedarhurst Ave. Strong south winds caused the fire to spread to a fence and then to a wooded lot and sump behind the home. On Sunday, January 19th, 2025, the Suffolk County Volunteer Junior Firefighters Association held a general meeting at the Selden Fire Department. Breakfast began at 8 am and was served by the Selden Fire Department Junior Company.
