Members of the Selden Fire Department came together Monday morning to honor the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country during Memorial Day services held at our headquarters.
In a solemn tribute, the department also took time to remember its own — with a special bell ringing ceremony held in memory of Selden Fire Department members who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty. In addition, the names of members who have passed away since the last Memorial Day service were respectfully read aloud, ensuring their legacy and contributions are never forgotten.
“Memorial Day is a time for reflection and gratitude, We honor not only the heroes of our nation’s military, but also our brothers and sisters in the fire service who dedicated their lives to protecting others.”
The Selden Fire Department remains committed to preserving the memory of those who have served, and to standing with the community in honoring their sacrifice.
