Selden Fire Department Responds to Working Residential Structure Fire

On Saturday, March 22nd, 2025, at approximately 21:48 hrs, the Selden Fire Department was activated for a signal 13 (structure fire) at 16 Quaker Lane in Selden. Terryville was activated for an auto engine to the scene. Selden Chief 32 (5-25-32) was first out on the road. Dispatch advised of numerous calls reporting a house on fire. Due to numerous calls and members confirming, a 13/35 (Structure Fire/Working Fire) was activated. Selden Chief 33 (5-25-33) then arrived on the scene, reporting a 2-story private dwelling fully involved.
The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Brookhaven Town Fire Marshals Office and the Suffolk County Police Department Arson Squad.
