Today, the Selden Fire Department was dispatched to assist the Westhampton Beach Fire Department in responding to a brush fire. At approximately 2:30pm, the department's 2.5-ton GI Brush truck, 5-25-9, along with multiple firefighters, responded to the call for mutual aid.

The Selden crew operated alongside fire departments from all across Suffolk County, working together to contain and extinguish the blaze.
