On Saturday, April 12th, 2025, at approximately 08:10, the Selden Fire Department was activated for a signal 13 (structure fire) at 1166 Middle Country Road in Selden (Dennys Auto Body). Dispatch advised of multiple callers stating flames through the roof. A Working Structure Fire was reactivated under the authority of Chief of Department Scott Nowakowski. Mutual Aid was received by neighboring departments and the fire was placed under control shortly after.

The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Brookhaven Town Fire Marshal's Office and Suffolk County Police Arson Squad.
