Selden FD was activated today at 12:47 for a structure fire in the vicinity of Elmwood Ave and S Evergreen Dr. Upon arrival units found a shed fully involved on Cedarhurst Ave. Strong south winds caused the fire to spread to a fence and then to a wooded lot and sump behind the home. Selden firefighters responded with 3 engines, a brush truck , EMS and fire police units to bring the fire quickly under control. We had good response from our senior firefighters today. We even took a few minutes for the " old guys" to take a quick picture!!
